To day's Lesson : Very Important.
I have not posted in this blog for ages for one simple reason : I used to have a very big audience of pupils and parents. Now, this year, with this class, it seems that I have spent hours blogging and doing hard work FOR NOTHING.
None of you watch what we do, I get no comments, no suggestions, no thanks.
I only get page views on the HW page, because no HW will land a kid into trouble. I come here to teach, that's my job.
Here is today's lesson, if anybody is interested. It's not easy, I suggest watching this video.

This month we're learning about different jobs.
If you have a job you would like to speak about with our class, we'd be happy to have you.
Leave a message in the comments and I'll contact you.

Last work for 2012
We were doing 'in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening' and created this work to practice our tenses as well as connectives.
Here's some of the work (the ones I could retrieve from the pendrives)
Hope 2013 will be bigger. And better.
See you all tomorrow!
X Miss C

Christmas Cards
So around two weeks ago, I pasted a note in the children's diaries for the parents, to send a blank card (or two), a stamp (or two) and the addresses to whom these cards were to be sent. Since this month we learnt how to write letters and emails, I wanted them to learn also how to write the address on the envelope and where to put the stamp...and physically see where the letter goes. In this day and age, with all the marvellous technology we have around us, hand written letters are rare, and a lot of children didn't know how to write addresses on an envelope. Sign of the times. So today, we had a fun lesson writing those envelopes, licking the yummy (or yucky for some) stamps. When the activity was over, we walked down to the post office and posted our Christmas cards, all neatly written, with hearts and kisses tucked in before the envelopes were licked and sealed. I do hope they get to their destination on time, we've been mighty busy of late.
Here are some photos of my cuties at the Post Office.

Write-ups about our December Outing
As you all know, we've had a very interesting and exciting outing this week. We had three photographers, Mattea, Matthias and Ranya taking (really good) photos. The photos were resized by myself and put into 2Create a Superstory from 2Simple Software for the children to use in class. Here are the books they produced. (Best viewed in explorer)

Today's work
These last few weeks we had some intensive work regarding adjectives. We have a word wall which is dominated by adjectives other than 'nice' and 'good'. As you can see from the work below, many children decided to use this resource in their work. Today I decided to do a lesson that allowed the children to choose their presentation according to their tastes. As you can see, quite a lot of them are excited about Christmas, aliens, fairy tales and superheroes.
Well done. I wish some of you took more care to save their work properly...a lot of work gets lost through rushing from one task to another.
